Universal TV Remote Control

PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: 13/6/2026

Summary

Universal TV Remote Control ("the App") turns your phone into a remote for TVs on your home Wi-Fi. There is no account, no login, and no cloud. We do not collect or sell your personal data, and the App does not run any servers — commands go directly from your phone to your TV on your local network. The App shows ads (Google AdMob, non-personalized) and includes optional crash reporting (Sentry). Both are explained below.

1. Who we are

This App is provided by BlindFold Games ("we", "us"). Questions about this policy: mapwizard.gg@gmail.com.

2. How the App works

The App discovers and controls TVs on your local Wi-Fi network. Remote commands travel directly from your device to your TV over the network. They do not pass through any server operated by us, because we operate none for the App. There are no user accounts and no cloud synchronization.

3. Information stored on your device (not collected by us)

The following is saved only on your device and is never transmitted to us:

You can erase this at any time by removing your TVs within the App or by uninstalling the App.

4. Local network access

The App requests permission to access your local network for the sole purpose of discovering and controlling your TVs over Wi-Fi. We do not collect, store, or transmit information about other devices on your network.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays banner ads through Google AdMob, and we request non-personalized ads only. To deliver ads, Google may collect and process certain information — such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, general device information, and ad interactions — for purposes including ad delivery, frequency capping, and fraud prevention. We do not receive or store this advertising data. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and "How Google uses information from apps that use its services".

6. Crash reporting (Sentry)

To diagnose and fix problems, the App reports crashes (in production builds only) using Sentry. A crash report may include technical diagnostic data such as the error and stack trace, device model, and operating-system version. We have configured Sentry not to collect personally identifying information and not to perform session or performance tracking. You can turn crash reporting off at any time in the App's Settings. Sentry's privacy policy: https://sentry.io/privacy/

7. Optional feedback forms

If you choose to use the in-app "Request a Feature", "Request a TV or OS", or "Report a Bug" links, they open Google Forms in your browser. Anything you submit there is processed by Google under its privacy policy. Using these forms is entirely optional.

8. What we do not do

9. Children's privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Ads are non-personalized. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Your choices and rights

Because the App itself collects no personal data and has no accounts, most data requests concern the third-party services above:

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have additional rights. For any privacy request, contact us at mapwizard.gg@gmail.com.

11. Data retention

On-device data persists until you delete your TVs or uninstall the App. Third parties (Google, Sentry) retain data according to their own policies.

12. Security

Pairing credentials and settings are stored on your device. Communication with your TVs takes place over your local network.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
