PRIVACY POLICY

The short version

If you use My CV Resume as a guest, your CV never leaves your device — it is stored only in your browser's local storage. We do not receive it. If you create an account, your CVs are stored in our database and protected by row-level security so only you can access them.

What we collect

Guests: nothing personal on our servers; the CV lives in your browser.
Account holders: your email address (for passwordless sign-in) and the CV content you choose to save.

Analytics & advertising

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage, and advertising to keep the product 100% free. Ads are never shown on sign-in or legal pages, and we do not sell your personal data.

Your rights

Account holders can export their data or delete their account at any time, which permanently removes all stored CVs. Contact us for any privacy request.

How to delete your account

You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the website. The flow is:

  1. Open the sign-in page and sign in with the email + password (or Google account) tied to the account you want to delete. This is the verification step — we will only act on a deletion request from someone who can prove ownership of the account.
  2. After you are signed in, go to the My CVs page.
  3. Scroll to the Account & data section at the bottom of the page. Click Delete account and confirm the dialog. The deletion is immediate and permanent: your auth user, your saved profile, every CV, and every cover letter you have stored with us are hard-deleted from our database. There is no recovery window and no soft-delete.

Mobile users can also trigger the same hard-delete from the Profile tab inside the iOS or Android app, after signing in. Whichever path you use, the same underlying server-side action runs — your data is gone end-to-end.

If you signed up but never confirmed an email, or if you cannot recover access to your account for any reason, contact us via the contact page and we will verify your identity and delete the account on your behalf.
